Commissioners Vote To Change Meeting Time

   Members of the Lawrenceburg City Commission have taken the first step toward changing the time of their monthly meetings.

   Members of the board voted during their regular bi-monthly business meeting Thursday to change the time of the meetings to 8:30 a.m.

   The board currently meets at 10:00 a.m. on the second and fourth Thursday each month.

   During a discussion regarding the matter, Commissioner Butch Morrow pointed out, “All the commissioners have other jobs and we just felt that the earlier meetings would interfere less with those obligations.”

   Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the change. The ordinance will likely come before the board on second and final reading during the July 10, 2008, meeting.
